About 8-10 days left...

We are about 8-10 days away from D Day :) So we have stopped going to off leash walks, because Miss Thang enjoys a good swim and mud roll and dead-thing eating and frankly, I don't want her to do any of that at this moment in time. So we are spending these beautiful days leash walking or just enjoying the backyard :) .... And lots of snuggle time.

I can SEE the little squirts rocking and rolling in there now.  There is one on her right side just below her ribs that if you poke, will poke you back.  I'll try to get it on video :)

Milk is starting to come in. She's slowed WAY down on her eating, making me a little nervous, cause she needs to eat, but she's pretty uncomfortable. So basically if she wants to eat something, practically anything, it's hers. 

Here we are in the backyard, there is a squirrel in the Ivy of the tree, and they are digging that :) then I put a bed out so she could lay down. She liked that.

Cave excavation

In process, this would be cave #3 .... She's very busy!

Snuggling

Mom and Dad having a nice snuggle this evening!

I felt the babies moving today for the first time :) I was so excited... Story must have been feeling it for awhile, she didn't seem surprised at all! She's definitely more uncomfortable and has a hard time finding a comfy position to sleep. She also is unable to eat all her food at meal times, so I'd already split it into 4 meals, but let her free feed while I'm at work. Seems to be helping. Otherwise everyone is doing well :)

Yellow Girl

Miss Mia, previously known as Yellow girl from the Gambling litter came with Gary (they kept her) to visit and set up the whelping box. Grampa and Aunty thought she was pretty annoying, but also kind of cute, even though they certainly didn't want us to notice ;) Here she is at 15.5 weeks old.

Preparing

Gary brought over the whelping box tonight. Story jumped right in and started digging ... Then laid down and made herself comfortable. I'm not sure she knows why she likes it. She just definitely likes it :) 

Mama dog

Starting to look like a mama dog, she still loves playing with her Nik, and napping, she's also finding nesting zones in the yard. She's been excavating a cave by the air conditioning unit I discovered today! I'm going to get her towels to put in her crate so she can feel like she's nesting and digging easier. Otherwise she's doing great! Eating a lot!!:)
